New modern rock demo song in the Listening Room - "Satisfy"

The song "Satisfy", posted in the XS Listening Room, was written by myself and the vocalist on the track, Dyna Shirasaki. All the sounds on the track (with the exception of the vocals, of course) are from the XS.

The track itself is in the modern hard rock-pop vein, a la bands like Evanescense.

Here's a rundown of the sounds used:

1. Drumkit - Power Standard Kit 2
2. Bass - Pre3 B11 Prec Amped
3. Opening riff guitars and chunk gtrs on chorus -
Pre3 A10 HardRocker (2 Hand Gtr).
4. Stereo gtr lines during the chorus - User2 E13
Voodooman
5. Clean gtr left channel second verse - Pre2 G15
Crunched Up 376
6. Clean gtr right channel second verse - Pre2 G12 59
Combo
Piano on breakdown and end - Pre 1 A09 Old and
Squashed (with some ringmod added)
7. Electronic hi-hat sounds - Preset Kit D2 Wacko Kit
(with some pitch adjustments)
8. Extra metal percussion - custom voice using the
"Elec Perc" wave.
9. Percussive metallic synth at end - Pre6 H08 Mr.
Wah!
10. Kick at top of tune - from the "Dance Kicks" kit.

Everything was recorded into Digital Performer 4.61. Aside from some EQ and level automation, there was no further processing of the sounds.

I went back and forth between including the vocal and leaving the vocal out. In the end it just made sense to keep Dyna's vocal in. She's a fantastic singer and you can see/learn more about her at her website:
