So you are going to Singapore and China...I heard Beijing and Singapore are top cities, even if Singapore is cleaner. I haven't heard much about Taiwan, though I have seen pictures - its very industrialized.

Now India is a different world, first impression will always be bad, if not horrible - pollution, poverty, dirtiness, etc, but once you get a seat to go and relax in a 5 star resort enjoyed by a lot of Europeans and Westerners (as the Indians call it), you will feel great. I visited India once and loved its scenic beauties - you won't find that in Europe, except maybe Scotland or Switzerland - which are still not that good. My visit to Europe - I felt it was so much like America - developed, clean, modern, with a few good historical sites here and there.
