Phil, this sounds great. But

Phil, this sounds great. But isn't it more of an exercise in what the XS "could" do, versus what is practical. Wouldn't it be more practical to create these kinds of layers within performances? For example 2 pianos + pad + bass in the left hand = the 4 voices of a performance. You couldn't do that with "only" 8 elements. The next thing is that if you're setting up a bank of patches for a gig, you'd have to decide that every patch was going to be a "voice" instead of a "performance", or you'd have to remember to switch back and forth between voice and performance mode.

This is great information, but it seems more practical to set up your splits and layers in performance mode. Unless I'm missing something.
