I have read a few posts from people on the forums and have spoken to a few new XS owners out on the road and have heard the following complaint: "My XS isn't quantizing properly". Guess what: It DOES quantize just fine but most people don't realize that the current default range is set to a single measure. So, unless you change the range from what it currently defaults to, which is "measure 001 Beat 01 Clock 000" to "measure 002 Beat 01 Clock 000" you will only quantize measures 1. This vexed me when I first worked with the XS but once I looked at the screen I figured it out.

So, when quantizing in either pattern or song mode, MAKE SURE YOU SET THE RANGE TO THE SECTION YOU WANT TO QUANTIZE. Under JOB/QUANTIZE set the range you wish to quantize. If it's and 8 measure section you wish to quantize, set the range ?measure 001 Beat 01 Clock 000" to "measure 009 Beat 01 Clock 000" and you will be in business! This may have been answered already somewhere in the forums, but info sometime gets lost in the sea of posts.

MM6

Hello,

I've got the MM6 and I'm still trying to figure out how to do different things with it. Like I was tryn' to figure out how to turn off the finger button with the pattern, so I can just record with the pattern playing. Anybody know how to do this??
